Wyndham Worldwide, a New York stock exchange listed company, and best known in the UK for its Days Inn and Ramada brands, has taken over the management of the Chelsea Conrad, previously a 5-star, all-suite hotel operated by Hilton. The London Conrad has become the Wyndham Chelsea Harbour.
Wyndham Hotel Group president and CEO Steven A. Rudnitsky said that the introduction of the Wyndham brand in London is part of the company”s strategy to pursue flagship Wyndham hotel properties in key international and gateway cities.
”London is Europe”s economic hub and one of the largest feeder markets in the world,” he said. ”The addition of The Wyndham London ” Chelsea Harbour to our collection of first-class Wyndham properties further establishes Wyndham Hotel Group”s position as a global hospitality company and demonstrates the strength of the Wyndham brand.”
”Our intent is to fully leverage this hotel”s premier status by augmenting its restaurant, bar and spa amenities,” Rudnitsky said.
The Wyndham London ” Chelsea Harbour is a 106-room purpose-built property. Each of the hotel”s suites feature a sitting room, high-speed internet access and 24-hour security, and many offer a balcony. Six luxury penthouse suites overlook the harbour and river.
