Serviced apartment company Bridgestreet Worldwide has launched a mobile application for the iPhone.
The app allows iPhone users to search and book apartments at 20,000 locations globally.
Free to download from iTunes, the app also offers photo tours, and allows users to review amenities and services before they book.
After booking, guests can access their itinerary and arrival information, including Google maps and directions.
Sean Worker, BridgeStreet’s CEO, said the decision to launch the app had followed a “sharp increase” in demand among business travellers for mobile technology.
“We see the app as a critical part of BridgeStreet’s brand experience,” he said.
“Putting instantaneous information at the fingertips of those who need it is the perfect representation of our commitment to helping guests feel connected while on the road.”
Applications for other smart phone models will be launched this summer.
