Best Western International has introduced a hotel chain first with its launch of ”Knock Knock”, a desktop application that enables travellers to book a hotel room, receive information on the Gold Crown Club International loyalty programme and check destination weather forecasts.
The software is available from the company website and is free to download. When installed, customers can click on the Best Western icon from their desktop, where a simple and easy-to-use display finds and books a room with minimum fuss. You can The default weather display can be set to the city of residence and can check the destination forecast.
”Best Western is constantly developing new programmes and applications to bring added convenience and value to the time-taxed traveller,” said senior vice president of marketing and sales, Dorothy Dowling.
”Recently, we introduced dynamic packaging options and customised navigational tools, along with virtual tours of all 2,400 North American Best Western properties, to our website. We have now taken our efforts to the next level, becoming the first hotel chain to bring our product directly to our guests” personal computers.”
