Travel managers are starting to include data clauses more frequently in their RFPs with travel management companies. Yet while they are looking to get this vital information from a key partner, there could be other processes or uses happening to data that you might not know about.
This panel during Business Travel iQ's Smart Travel Management conference said buyers may have to accept some allowances when it comes to data protection but encouraged them to realise how valuable data is and to check over the terms and conditions of contracts they enter.
Mulling over these issues and more are Ashley Winton, partner at Paul Hastings LLP; Susan Hopley, COE and founder of The Data Exchange; Keesup Choe, CEO, PI and Warren Dix, director of sales and marketing at Hillgate Travel.
