Worldspan, the global travel technology provider headquartered in Atlanta (Georgia), has enhanced its Trip Manager XE software to improve company cost-savings. Whilst the old system allowed travel administrators to set the maximum cost policy, the enhanced package enables different parameters, that can be set by price or by percentage over the lowest available air fare, and can be changed instantly by the administrator.
When a traveller books a flight with greater variance than the settings allow, the booking is flagged. The administrator then has various options, including traveller alerts and flexible settings that determine if bookings are permitted or programmatically barred.
Worldspan vice president major accounts Cheryl Weldon said: ”Worldspan is pleased to enrich Trip Manager XE with this cost-saving enhancement. It gives travel administrators new ways to set spending limits, making Trip Manager XE an even more flexible tool in meeting a corporation”s unique business goals.”
