Vertical Group, the travel technology system provider, are showcasing their latest solution at the Travel Technology Show 2007. TARSC Online allows customers to manage their bookings from home by clicking on the ”my account” button on their agent”s website. They can then view their itinerary, check for messages from the agent and make payments, either in part or in full. Until the launch of the online product, customers had to visit their local branch or telephone the agent for these services.
The system is available to existing users of the latest version of the TARSC back-office system with no set-up or monthly fees. The company will make a one-off charge to the agent when the customer looks up their account online, but after the initial request the customer can check their details multiple times without extra charges to the agent. There will also be a transaction fee to the agent whenever a customer makes a payment online.
Vertical Group sales director Russell Parr said: ”The amount we plan to charge for the service is pence and will be worth it for the seamless service it provides both agent and customer.”
