BBC TV is to offer a new 10-week series from Friday 29 July (1900-2000), called Departure Slot and filmed at Manchester Airport. The programme is intended to provide entertainment, take-away information, top tips and advice in a consumer-friendly magazine style format and will be co-hosted by Nick Knowles, CBBC presenter Angelica Bell and The Independent”s Simon Calder. A purpose-built set has been constructed in Manchester Airport”s terminal where the programme will be put together on the previous Wednesday.
