Langham Hotels International is moving into India for the fi rst time, and has also announced plans for a fourth hotel in China.
The Hong Kong-based group is to manage the 180-room Langham Place, which is due to open in early 2010 in Pune's Koregaon Park. The hotel, aimed very much at the business market, will help ease pressure on accommodation in a city noted as a technology and academic hub.
The new hotel in China - also a Langham Place opening the year after next - will be located in the Luogang district of the Guangzhou Economic Development Zone. The group has three properties opening in Beijing and Shanghai next year.
