Brits abroad want a bath, a hotel bar and the ability to make a cup of tea when staying in a hotel, according to research published by Wyndham Hotel Group.
Despite increasing pressure for the British to become more health conscious, UK visitors are the least likely to demand gym facilities, although most will ask for a non-smoking room.
Germans are far more keen on their business travel, with 53% saying they enjoy work trips compared with a measly 16% of Brits.
Oddly enough, Germans seem most concerned with having a whirlpool in their hotel room, while the Chinese said the complimentary slippers were number one on their list.
