Those fancying a tonne of landing gear, various altimeters, temperature gauges and er, sideslip indicators, hotfooted it to Toulouse this weekend, where all the above items from a former Concorde went under the hammer.
The aim is to raise funds for a new aviation museum in the city that, in co-operation with Bristol, was hugely important in Concorde”s success.
Quite where anyone would site a one tonne piece of landing gear is a mystery, but it would get the neighbours talking.
