Galileo UK, the global distribution system (GDS) company has introduced a new service called AirText. The technology delivers real-time flight information to the customer”s mobile phone, including check-in, boarding, final call and any delays or cancellations to the flight.
The company says the system targets travel management companies and travel agencies with the aim of providing commission opportunities for the agent and helpful information for the traveller. The service can also be ”white labelled” so that Galileo agents will be able to individually brand the information messages according to their specifications.
AirText sales director Yannis Loucopoulos said: ”We wanted to build a service that would fit seamlessly into existing sales processes and that would be flexible enough to adapt to the most specific agent requirement ” we are confident that Galileo AirText answers that brief.”
