AVIODROME, Holland”s own aviation theme park, situated at Lelystad Airport on the eastern side of the Zuider Zee about 45 minutes drive from Amsterdam, has acquired a complete Boeing 747 from KLM. PH-BUK 747-200B (c/n 21549, line number 336) was manufactured and delivered to KLM in 1978. It operated as a ”combi”. Delivery to the museum proved to be somewhat of a problem, the aircraft mainly water borne through Amsterdam”s narrow canals from Schiphol to its new home.
