Amadeus, the technology and distribution solutions company, is to provide its Web Services to Austrian Airlines. The solution will allow the carrier to build and update its travel booking applications without disrupting existing systems.
This is achieved through the use of service-oriented architecture (SOA), which provides complete access to Amadeus technology without interfering with current programmes.
”We have adopted Amadeus Web Services because of the need to constantly change, customise and update,” said Austrian Airlines manager, interactive sales Konstantin Kasapis. ”It leaves us to focus on how to take advantage of Web 2.0 and other innovations.”
