Almost two-thirds of German travel buyers are very concerned about
the insolvency of industry suppliers, according to the latest fortnightly survey from
the German Business Travel Association VDR. Some 64.7 per cent of those surveyed
in the poll on 22 March said the scenario was very likely.
Buyers are also concerned about the rising costs of business
travel, with 85.8 per cent saying that it was likely costs would increase.
Despite the pandemic, the survey also found that travel buyers are confident about
the security of their roles, with 83.4 per cent saying they thought it unlikely
there would be reductions in the number of travel management staff in their
companies.
The survey also found that the percentage of companies with a
complete ban on business travel has now fallen to just 1.1 per cent.
