Sabre Hospitality Solutions has launched a new set of social media based tools which includes a fully integrated Facebook booking engine.
The technology giant claims that its SocialConversion suite is an industry first. The Facebook booking engine allows hotels to take bookings via its Facebook page. The engine can be customized to look and feel like the hotel’s own brand dotcom.
Guests can search availability, view rooms, shop rates, and complete the entire booking process without having to transfer to the brand dotcom.
SocialConversion can also help hotels create “social media-only offers and promotions to push and share within Facebook.”
A Facebook plug-in on the brand dotcom is also possible, connecting the site with guests’ network.
Paolo Torchio, vice president, E-marketing and Solutions Consulting, for Sabre Hospitality Solutions, said: "Our customers have expressed interest in taking social media to the next level and want to start seeing a return on their investment.”
US-based Arizona Grand Resort, managed by Classic Hotels & Resorts, achieved a 12:1 return on investment after implementing the new booking engine on its Facebook page. Greg Waters, director of sales and marketin, said: "We are excited at the new ways they are enabling us to drive revenue through our own marketing, and plan to join them as they lead the industry in opening up this new segment."
