Swiss carrier Helvetic Airways has signed a new distribution agreement with Travelport.
The Zurich-based airline will be distributed on Travelport’s Worldspan and Galileo global distribution systems.
Founded in 2003, Helvetic Airways serves European routes from Zurich and Bern airports.
Tobias Pogorevc, chief financial officer, at Helvetic Airways, said it was a key development for the airline.
“We’re excited to be working with Travelport and we’re impressed not only by the excellent support from the local team,” he said, “but also with the potential for our business to provide flight schedules to agents worldwide.”
Robin Ranken, Travelport’s head of supplier for Europe, said the travel technology firm is pleased to be adding to its distribution chain.
“By adding more locally relevant air content we are able to give our global travel agents more choice,” he said.
“We will work closely with Helvetic Airways to ensure they have the technology and support they need to succeed.”
