Business processing outsourcing specialist Accelya has joined the Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC) as a partner organisation.
Accelya is best known in the UK for handling BSP data on behalf of IATA. It handles two-thirds of all global reconciliation between travel agents and airlines. It employs around 6000 people and its products are used by 70,000 businesses worldwide. Annual revenues come in at around $80m.
GTMC chairman, Portman Travel’s Michael Hare said: "Accelya has turned to the GTMC to raise awareness of its complete portfolio of services, which are extensive.”
Accelya’s regional sales director Sarah Crowley agreed: “This membership represents excellent value for Accelya, not only for the exposure to top management but also for the thought leadership that comes out of the group as a whole.”
There are currently around 30 GTMC partners. Accelya is the first BPO specialist to join the lobby group at this level.
