Travel management company CWT has extended its partnership with technology firm Wenrix to help clients make more savings on flights.
Wenrix provides an automated airfare price tracking platform, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to take advantage of changes in flight prices.
The new multi-year partnership with CWT will see Wenrix’s platform integrated across all of the TMC’s booking channels, including online, mobile and offline.
Wenrix’s predictive analytics calculates when airfares will change across all the GDSs and then automatically rebooks the existing flight at the cheaper fare when possible, provided the price difference is greater than any change or cancellation fee incurred.
John Pelant, CWT’s chief technology officer, said: “We are always looking to team up with companies that have innovative and market-leading solutions, and that can help us bring additional value to our customers.
“Wenrix’s innovative AI and data science-led forecasting around fare probabilities delivers accurate and insightful price intelligence. With the sharp increase that we’re seeing in average ticket prices for flights, this partnership with Wenrix will help our clients secure the best possible fares and stretch their travel budgets further.”
CWT has been working with Wenrix since 2020 – initially offering pre-ticketing services to its North American clients before extending it to customers in the EMEA region.
The TMC also piloted Wenrix’s post-ticketing tracking platform during 2021, which is now being rolled out across all markets worldwide.
