AI platform Acai Travel has integrated disruption prediction capabilities into its AI Travel Agent via a partnership with Lumo, the companies announced.
With the integration, travel management companies can identify which travellers are most likely to face disruption, using Lumo's predictive analytics.
With those trips flagged as high-risk, Acai's agent tool can interpret fare rules, find applicable waiver codes and reach out to travellers with recommendations as well as execute exchanges and cancellations.
The integration works within such TMC service environments as Genesys and Dialpad, so it can support travellers through email, chat, SMS and voice, according to Acai.
"Lumo's technology gives airlines, TMCs and [online travel agencies] a clearer view of what is likely to happen," Acai head of sales Ron Glickman said in a statement. "What makes this powerful is that Acai AI Travel Agent can immediately act on that information. It can prioritise travellers, apply the right policies and communicate across channels in real time."
Acai said the integration is available for all its customers, and World Travel Inc. is the first joint customer of Acai and Lumo that is going live with the integration.
