UK-based Travelodge is to increase distribution of its hotels across the managed travel sector through a new deal with tech firm DerbySoft.
Travelodge, which has more than 630 properties in the UK, Ireland and Spain, said in a statement that the partnership with US firm DerbySoft would allow it to expand direct distribution capabilities to more TMCs and corporate booking tools.
Dallas-based DerbySoft, which was acquired by Juniper Group last month, provides direct connections between hotels and TMCs through its connectivity platform, among other capabilities.
The two companies said the partnership would provide “streamlined access” to Travelodge content for both TMCs and travel buyers, while DerbySoft’s payments and reconciliation tools would simplify booking, payment and settlement processes.
Nick Jacobs, sales director at Travelodge, said: “Travelodge is committed to making it as easy as possible for corporate travel partners and TMCs to access our hotels.
“Partnering with DerbySoft enables us to expand our direct distribution strategy through a trusted, scalable platform that helps us reach more business travellers while supporting efficient, seamless booking experiences.”
Travelodge has also struck similar distribution deals with Katanox, Spotnana and HotelHub in the past 18 months.
