London-headquartered travel management and meetings company Reed & Mackay has added a meetings booking service into its platform by white-labeling the Meetingsbooker.com solution.
With the addition, clients will be able to book their travel, accommodation and event needs in one place by clicking on tabs within a single portal, according to Reed & Mackay.
Users will have access to around 150,000 venues in the solution, dubbed R&M/Meet, with many of them available for instant booking. For those that do not allow instant booking, there is a request-for-proposal submission through the system, said a Reed & Mackay spokesperson.
In addition, the solution provides safety information about the spaces, the ability to incorporate sustainability goals such as saying no to plastic and paper usage when booking, the ability to select a hybrid technology option, and centralised billing, payment and reporting, so there is "no need to reconcile invoices across platforms for travel and meeting space attached to one event," according to Reed & Mackay.
Further, R&M/Meet has "centralised payment and one view of where travel and meetings are taking place to support a company's duty of care," said Reed & Mackay COO Julie Oliver in a statement. "Not only do businesses need to know that a venue is Covid-19 safe, they also need to be able to adapt that meeting space to a hybrid set up at short notice in line with changing restrictions."
For now, the solution offers just meeting spaces, however office space content is on the roadmap for addition later this summer, according to the spokesperson.
TripActions acquired Reed & Mackay in May 2021, but the company continues to operate as a standalone brand.
Reed & Mackay was ranked the 8th largest TMC in the UK in BTN Europe's recently published Europe's Leading TMC report. TripActions was ranked 19th in the UK and 6th largest overall across Europe.
