Start-up night train operator Nox Mobility has put tickets for its first route between Hamburg and Munich on sale.
Berlin-based Nox Mobility, which was founded last year, plans to start services on the route, which will also call at Bremen and Augsburg, on 23 March 2027 with three trains operating per week in both directions.
Tickets start from €65 per person one-way with accommodation provided in “private” Nox Suites, which feature a seat that can be unfolded into a two-metre bed. The seats also include a table, luggage space and power outlets.
Thibault Constant, co-founder of Nox Mobility, said: “Taking a night train in Europe still means sharing a cabin with four strangers and hoping the ride turns out to be bearable. With Nox, every passenger has their own space to work and rest in.”
Nox Mobility has ambitious plans to expand to 100 European cities on its train network by 2035, as well as introducing larger Nox Rooms for one to two people from 2029.
The Hamburg-Munich route has been chosen by Nox because it is one of the busiest domestic airline routes in Germany.
The company’s trains will depart Hamburg at 21.22 and arrive in Munich at 08.14 the next morning. In the other direction, services will leave Munich at 21.20 and get to Hamburg at 08.27.
