Cvent has completed its acquisition of ON24, an AI-powered webinar and video platform for B2B enterprise sales and marketing, the company announced on Wednesday (1 April).
The all-cash deal, first announced last December and valued at approximately $400 million, will add ON24’s digital engagement capabilities to Cvent’s tech stack, as the company sharpens focus on marketing automation and lead generation.
“Cvent plans to continue to invest in and grow the ON24 platform with a steadfast focus on AI and its enterprise-grade reliability and compliance standards,” the company said in a statement.
“Organisations that rely on ON24 for webinars and digital engagement can expect the same industry-leading experience they trust today – now strengthened by Cvent's direct investment”.
Reggie Aggarwal, Cvent founder and CEO, added: “In-person, hybrid, webinars and digital experiences all have to work together to drive real business results. Bringing ON24 into the Cvent portfolio is the next step in delivering on that vision and enabling organizations to accelerate growth through events.”
The ON24 deal was announced weeks after Cvent also acquired Goldcast, an AI-powered video content platform, at the end of 2025. Cvent's SVP of product management, McNeel Keenan, discussed the company’s virtual event investment strategy in a recent interview with BTN.
