Off-channel booking aggregator Traxo has partnered with travel data management provider Agentivity to provide TMCs with data on clients’ direct bookings with travel suppliers.
The two companies said their partnership would give TMCs greater abilities in servicing off-channel bookings, as they can integrate services such as itineraries, data automation and data-sharing with duty-of-care providers. TMCs also can receive merged reporting on the client's travel data.
Edd McArdle, head of product and partnerships for the UK-based Agentivity, said: “Having access to the client's supplier.com bookings made outside the TMC channel provides additional servicing opportunities.
“It also addresses the upsell challenge in that we can now provide the TMC with visibility on content for the next trip the client would usually book themselves.”
Traxo and Agentivity added that TMCs will not be able to access off-channel booking data without the permission of the corporate client.
Matt Griffin, Traxo’s chief product officer, added: “Trying to change traveller behaviour to always and only book with their agent is unrealistic. Travellers inevitably book some part of their trip directly with a supplier for a variety of reasons.
“Traxo is excited to partner with Agentivity to bring new value to TMCs worldwide, not to mention the added advantage to corporate travel buyers who can now see all their booking data in one place.”
Last month it was announced that American Express Global Business Travel was working with Traxo to pilot a new solution with a “top corporate client” to automatically capture data for out-of-channel travel bookings.
