Corporate Traveller has increased staff levels by 20 per cent as it reacts to an increase in demand for its services.
The Flight Centre-owned TMC, which specialises in SMEs, said it had recruited 46 new travel consultants since the start of the year following a 30 per cent rise in turnover last year.
Corporate Traveller has also added 20 new business development managers around the UK to target further growth within companies spending between £50,000 and £2 million on travel per year.
Over the last few months, recruits have been taking part in training programmes to get them ready for their new positions.
Graeme Milne, UK general manager for Corporate Traveller, said: “Our business model has proved to be so successful that we needed to increase staff numbers significantly over the last six months.
“However around 30 per cent of new consultants came from non-travel backgrounds, so we needed to ensure they were fully trained not only in products and services, but also equipped with the right skills to deliver the level of customer experience excellence which we are known for.”
