Travel management company CWT is to begin a pilot project this month with data analytics specialist Zytlyn Technologies which will use AI technology to forecast travel demand.
During the three-month pilot, CWT will overlay its historical booking patterns on to Zytlyn's Prediction Platform to gain insights into travel demand on a global level.
The TMC said the initiative would allow it to “make astute decisions” about future supply requirements, capacity planning and resource management.
CWT chief technology officer of data and analytics Patrice Simon said: “Being able to accurately predict travel demand in near real time, while complex, fluid contextual factors, such as Covid, are at play, enables CWT to be even more intuitive in its customer offer, ensuring a highly-customised product, service and experience mix relevant to the individual traveller’s current and near future needs.”
Houman Goudarzi, Zytlyn’s co-founder and CEO, added: “While business travel is recovering fast, it is an ideal time to leverage new proven technologies that provide data driven predictability to uplift revenues, lower costs and build more resilience."
