The UK’s Business Travel Association (BTA) is to work with the Travel Risk & Incident Prevention (TRIP) Group to help set “new benchmarks” for managing the risks of corporate travel.
TRIP, which is a membership organisation specialising in offering training courses, educational events and consultancy on travel risk management, becomes the BTA’s latest industry partner and the first in the risk management sector.
“The alliance will allow members of both organisations to prepare effectively for the risks associated with business travel and their associated supply chains,” explained BTA in a statement.
BTA and TRIP will now collaborate on joint ventures including holding events and industry meetings focused on risk awareness.
Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, said: “In today’s ever-changing travel landscape, ensuring the safety and security of business travellers is paramount.
“This partnership represents a significant step forward in providing our members with the expertise and resources needed to navigate risks effectively and confidently.”
TRIP Group’s CEO Lloyd Figgins added: “This alliance is an opportunity to help improve travel safety and security and protect business travellers.
“We are excited to work together with the BTA to strengthen the safety of our collective community, and to prepare the industry for current and future challenges on both a local and global scale.”
