EU transport ministers are meeting today in Brussels to decide what, if any, compensation should be provided to European airlines after the ash crisis.
More than 10,00 flights were cancelled, leaving 10 million passengers unable to travel and costing the airlines more than $1.7 billion.
Some 69% of ABTN readers say it is unfair that airlines should have to pay for stranded passengers' expenses as a result of the volcanic ash cloud.
