Virgin Atlantic is to add a fourth daily frequency to its London Heathrow-New York JFK service from October 28.
Flight VS025 will depart London at 19.00, arriving into New York “shortly after” 22.00, with the return leg VS026 leaving JFK at 08.00 and landing back into Heathrow at 20.00. It means Virgin will have two flights departing New York in the morning – one from JFK and one from Newark.
Virgin currently flies three times-daily to New York JFK (departing at 09.30, 14.00 and 17.15), and twice-daily to Newark (departing at 16.15 and 20.25), with the return legs departing at 18.15, 19.20 and 22.20 from JFK, and 08.00 and 21.20 from Newark.
The carrier says the new service “will give connecting passengers greater flexibility, with timings to give a seamless connection onto other Virgin Atlantic routes including Delhi, Dubai, and many of its African destinations”.
Virgin recently opened a new Clubhouse at JFK, and has launched its new Upper Class seat on the London-New York route .
