United Airlines has announced a new daily flight between its Houston hub and Heathrow from March 30.
The third daily flight UA970 departs Houston at 20.30 arriving in London at 12.05 the next day. The return flight UA971 departs London Heathrow daily at 13.05 arriving in Houston 17.45 the same day.
The new flight will be operated by a two-class B767-30 aircraft with United fully-flat Business First seating and economy, including the Economy Plus seating. Tickets for the new service go on sale from October 6.
United has also announced new flights next summer from Chicago to Shannon in Ireland which will run from June 6 to August 26, 2013 (both dates eastbound to Europe), subject to securing government approval.
The five times weekly flights will depart Chicago O’Hare at 18.10 (UA66) arriving in Shannon 07.25 the following day. The service will not operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The return flight, UA67, will depart Shannon daily except Wednesday and Thursday at 11.00 arriving in Chicago at 13.10 the same day.
This flight will be operated by a B757-200 aircraft with 16 in Business First, 45 Economy Plus and 108 economy seats.
