Turkish Airlines is to go double daily from Manchester to Istanbul from the end of March.
The carrier currently runs 10 flights in both directions between the two cities but this will go up to 14 per week from March 31.
The expanded service will use Boeing 737s which will include both business and economy cabins.
The Star Alliance member has been operating on the Manchester-Istanbul route since 1993.
Flights from Manchester will depart at 11.15 and 17.20 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and from 15.55 and 22.05 on all other days of the week.
Return flights from Istanbul will run from 08.00 and 10.15 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and 12.50 and 15.05 on all other days.
