Jack L. Williams (pictured) has joined Eos Airlines as chief executive officer and was very quickly into action visiting the carrier”s London operation and the Business Travel Show. Williams is an American Airlines stalwart of 23 years ultimately attaining the title of vice president and general sales manager, where he was responsible for generating and managing over $16bn in annual worldwide revenue. He is equally well known in the cruise industry where he served as president and chief operating officer at Royal Caribbean/Celebrity Cruises from 1997 to 2005, the fleet expanding from 8 to 29 ships.
Eos founder David Spurlock continues as chief strategic officer whilst another David, Pottruck, is now solely chairman of Eos ” a role he has held since July 2005 ” adding on a temporary basis the title CEO.
During Pottruck”s tenure as CEO, Eos has achieved flight level profitability, added a second daily London ” New York round trip, and attracted $75m in an additional round of institutional financing. Eos also recently received the 2007 Business Travel World Long Haul Business Airline of the Year award and was a runner up in the Business Travel Show competition for innovations of the year.
With the expansion of the executive team, Eos Airlines also announces an additional flight to be added to its London and New York schedules, with three regularly scheduled departures from each city during peak travel days. Tickets are now available for the new schedule that starts 15 April. The new departure times will offer greater options and convenience for international business travellers.

Eos” London base is at Stansted where it offers a curb-side escort service through check-in and to the airline”s dedicated lounge via Fastrack. The airline operates 48-seat Boeing 757 aircraft with a proper flat bed 2+2 layout with direct aisle access from every seat.
