A Singapore Airlines flight from Heathrow had to be diverted to Azerbaijan earlier today (January 6) due to a loss of cabin pressure.
The Airbus A380 performing flight SQ317 to Singapore had to land at the Azerbaijani capital of Baku at around 01.00 local time.
The airline said that "oxygen masks were deployed and the aircraft landed uneventfully at Baku airport" and there were no injuries to the 467 passengers and 27 crew members.
“We are seeking clearance from local authorities to transfer affected customers to a hotel until a replacement aircraft arrives,” said Singapore Airlines in a statement.
