Sabre Travel Network is to begin selling ancillaries from Israeli airline El Al.
Under the deal, agents using Sabre’s GDS can now reserve and buy pre-paid baggage, with seat reservations set to be introduced later this year.
Hamish Broom, Sabre’s commercial director for distribution EMEA, said: “The sale of ancillaries through this marketplace generates important cost savings for both agencies and airlines.
“Frontline travel consultants can improve their efficiency and customer service levels by being able to book and fulfill tickets and ancillaries together.”
El Al becomes the latest airline to make ancillary products and bundled fares available through Sabre, joining Finnair, Alitalia, US Airways and Air France-KLM, which already have similar agreements with the technology company.
