With the start of the summer season a new carrier has emerged. Brussels Airlines, born from the merger between Virgin Express and SN Brussels Airlines, will inaugurate services on Sunday (25 March) between the UK and Belgium. The new carrier will operate flights from six UK airports to the home of the European Union.
Claimed to be a new generation airline, it says it has inherited all its parents” best points - values such as punctuality, reliability, excellent service, a multi-lingual personnel, low cost fares and operations from premium airports.
Brussels Airlines offers direct flights between Brussels and Gatwick, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Newcastle. Flights from Heathrow are operated by codeshare partner British Airways. What makes it unique, claims the airline, is its new generation travel concept. On board all Brussels Airlines aircraft to and from the UK, passengers have the choice between a full service travel solution (b.flex) or a low fare seat (b.light).
Passengers selecting b.flex enjoy the advantages of a fully flexible ticket that can be changed at all times. They save time at check-in and they can take extra luggage with them. During the flight free meal and drinks are served. Passengers who buy a b.light low fare ticket can purchase drinks and meals during the flight.
Brussels Airlines offers long haul networks to 13 African destinations, three major North American cities, the Unites Arab Emirates and China. It also serves some 50 airports in Europe.
