An alliance between Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia has been approved by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
This follows the approval by the Competition Commission of Singapore on October 20.
The green light from both parties means the two airlines can now press on with the launch of codeshare flights and reciprocal frequent flyer schemes.
Codesharing between the two airlines is expected to start in early 2012.
