Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has completed the rollout of high-speed onboard wifi across its Airbus A320neo fleet, which accounts for around 70 per cent of the carrier’s total fleet.
All 81 A320neo aircraft are now equipped with the service following a deal with Starlink, the satellite internet system owned by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, first announced in January 2025. The installation programme was completed in six months.
The internet service is available on “a significant share” of SAS’s European flights and is offered free of charge to members of its EuroBonus loyalty programme.
SAS EVP and chief commercial officer Paul Verhagen said: “Being connected has become a natural part of everyday life, and that doesn’t change when we board a plane. With gate-to-gate connectivity, our customers have more freedom to choose how they spend their time travelling with us.”
SAS is now preparing for the next phase of the Starlink rollout across its remaining aircraft types, with further installations planned before the end of the year.
