Ryanair has seen its passenger numbers surge by 28 per cent as the airline continues its campaign to attract business travellers.
The Irish carrier carried 6.67 million passengers in March – up from 5.2 million during the same month in 2014, while load factor increased by 10 percentage points to 90 per cent.
Ryanair has also seen traffic for the last 12 months rise by 11 per cent to 90.5 million.
Chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said that the airline’s Always Getting Better (AGB) campaign to improve customer services had helped to “deliver better than expected load factors on our significantly expanded winter schedule”.
“With our new routes, increased frequencies and Business Plus service, customers can now look forward to further service enhancements, as we roll out the 2nd year of our AGB programme in 2015,” added Jacobs.
Ryanair’s latest plans include a new website and app, reduced airport fees and digital initiatives such as the ability to hold and compare fares.
