Ryanair is to launch a daily service between Stansted and Nuremberg at the end of March next year.
The no-frills carrier is adding six new routes from the German city with services to Alicante, Cagliari, Malaga, Pisa, and Porto also due to start in spring 2013.
Air Berlin is currently the only carrier to offer non-stop flights between the London area and Nuremberg with its service from Gatwick. British Airways also codeshares on this route.
Ryanair's new route means Nuremberg will be served from three London airports next year, with Air France subsidiary Cityjet set to launch twice-daily weekday flights from London City in January 2013.
