Workspace provider Regus has signed an agreement with Gatwick Airport to open a mobile working hub close to the south terminals arrivals area.
The new Regus Express facilities will include meeting rooms, desks and showers.
Gatwick will also be the first airport in the world to host Regus’s new ‘Business Workbox” – designed for business travellers ‘on the move’, who need to make last-minute phone calls or send emails.
Regus’s managing director, Phil Kemp, said the traditional office space is changing and corporate travellers increasingly need places to connect to work.
“We expect the facilities to be popular with a range of business travellers from those wanting to make the most of their time before boarding a flight to others needing a convenient place to meet clients after they’ve landed.”
Gatwick’s chief commercial officer, Guy Stephenson, said: “We serve 45 of the top 50 EU business routes daily and being so well connected makes us the perfect place for a central meeting location.”
