French airport group ADP, which operates both Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Paris Orly airports, has reported continued traffic recovery for the third quarter.
Air traffic in the French capital reached 91.4 per cent of pre-pandemic levels in September, with a total of 75.6 million passengers over the first nine months of the year – a 18.4 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2022.
Traffic was largely driven by international travel, with 45.5 per cent from Europe and 37.6 per cent from the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. Domestic travel equated to 12.3 per cent.
Paris CDG reported 335,913 aircraft movements between January and September, reaching 88.8 per cent of 2019 levels, while Paris Orly clocked 155,370 movements, 92.4 per cent of 2019 figures.
Consolidated revenue for the period reached €4.12 million, up 21.8 per cent compared to 2022.
The group, which also operates airports across Eastern Europe, reported traffic in the region landed at 97.8 per cent of 2019 levels.
The group expects to see a full return of pre-pandemic traffic levels in Paris between 2024 and 2025, and to exceed 2019 levels in 2026.
Groupe ADP chairman and CEO Augustin de Romanet confirmed the company’s full-year forecasts and financial targets, and said all segments are “performing as expected”.
“We remain focused on preparing to host the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024 and on the industrial and environmental transformation undertaken with our 2025 Pioneers strategic roadmap."
