OXFORD AVIATION TRAINING is to add three synthetic training devices (essentially fixed flight navigation and procedure simulators with 200 degree wrap around displays) later on this year. These advanced twin engine devices will enable the school to reduce its Piper Seneca airborne training by 10 hours, a considerable saving in cost for the would-be pilots. The school says that in time the new machines will allow it to reduce its training fleet from the current 19 Piper Warriors (singles), 7 Piper Arrows (retractable advanced singles), and 19 Piper Senecas (twin engine) and achieve the same goals.
