Low-cost carrier Norse Atlantic Airways commenced flights between Oslo and Los Angeles on Wednesday, marking the start-up airline’s fourth new route launch in the past two months following inaugural flights from Oslo to New York, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.
The three-times-weekly flight operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner departs Los Angeles at 13:45 and arrives in Oslo at 09:00 local time. One-way fares start from $138.
“Norse is delivering on our promise to offer affordable value and a quality travelling experience to all,” said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways.
“[This] marks a proud moment for us all at Norse as we now look to ramp up our network for the benefit of customers, businesses, and local economies,” he said.
Los Angeles World Airports CEO, Justin Erbacci, said the new non-stop service to Oslo is “another opportunity for guests to connect to Europe and beyond”.
“By offering these flights from the West Gates at Tom Bradley International Terminal, passengers will get to experience one of the newest airport terminals in the country, with leading-edge innovation and amenities,” he added.
The carrier is also set to launch daily flights from New York to London and Berlin, taking off on 12 August and 17 August, respectively, and three-times-weekly flights between Los Angeles and Berlin on 19 August.
