SINGAPORE AIRLINES is launching non-stop flights from Manchester to Singapore beginning 31 March 2003, using new Boeing 777-200ER "Jubilee" aircraft. The flights will replace the current one-stop services on four days of the week, thereby increasing seat capacity on the Manchester to Singapore route by 27%. These changes are being made in response to growing demand from both business and leisure travellers for flights connecting from Manchester and the North of England to Singapore and Australasia. The flights also coincide with the introduction of the new SpaceBed - the biggest business class bed in the sky - on the Manchester to Singapore route. Passengers will be able to enjoy the state-of-the-art seat that reclines into a flat-bed, with a length of 78 inches and width of 27 inches, when both the armrests are fully deployed downwards. The SpaceBed will be progressively introduced from 31 March and will be available on all flights by late-May 2003. Singapore Airlines offers daily flights from Manchester to Singapore, the remaining three services operated on B747-400 "Megatop" aircraft, with a stop at Brussels in both directions. http://www.singaporeair.com
