Passenger numbers at Luton airport jumped 15.7 per cent in May compared with the same month last year.

To deal with the rise in numbers Luton airport has unveiled a £100 million redevelopment and investment programme.
The project is expected to increase annual capacity from 12 million to 18 million passengers by 2026.
Luton airport CEO Nick Barton, said: “Last month was our busiest May ever. As we move into the busy summer season we are committed to ensuring that passengers enjoy the best possible experience – our £100m redevelopment project will help us to deliver that.”
