Lufthansa has reached a deal with trade union Verdi to prevent further industrial action.
The German airline had to cancel the majority of its flights on April 22 due to strikes by cabin crew and ground staff. There was also an earlier one-day stoppage by workers on March 21.
But the threat of further walkouts is over after the Verdi union, which represents 33,000 of the airline’s staff, reached a pay deal with Lufthansa.
Under the agreement, workers will receive a guaranteed pay rise for the next 26 months and there will be no compulsory redundancies during this period.
Verdi negotiator Christine Behle said: “Jobs for thousands of Lufthansa employees have been secured - that was particularly important, given the management’s expansive savings programme.”
The deal has to be agreed by Verdi members by May 14.
