Lufthansa pilots have agreed to strike in a long-running dispute over pay and working conditions.
More than 90 per cent of the German carrier’s pilots voted in favour of going on strike, the Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) union confirmed.
The union, which represents 5,400 Lufthansa pilots, said a date had not yet been set to strike but confirmed there are no plans to call it over the Easter holidays.
"No one of us really wants to strike and we've been negotiating very patiently, but our patience has run out," the pilots' chief negotiator Thomas von Sturm said on Friday.
The German carrier has already agreed pay deals with ground staff and cabin crew.
