Lufthansa has launched a stopover programme in Munich for bookings on routes to Singapore and the US.
The initiative will allow passengers to stay in Munich from 24 hours to seven days, and the programme is available for all booking classes on either the outbound or return portion of the ticket.
Heiko Reitz, Lufthansa’s hub manager at Munich, said: “We are turning a layover in Munich into real added value for our guests. We are excited to give travellers the opportunity to flexibly incorporate one of Europe's most attractive cities and regions into their journey, enhancing their flight with a truly personal travel experience."
The offer is available now and can be booked through the carrier's website. Lufthansa did not immediately clarify whether the stopover would be available in other booking channels.
The airline plans to “gradually” expand the stopover programme to other regions and destinations over the next year, as well as to other hubs within the wider Lufthansa Group.
