Lufthansa is to launch its new Allegris business class cabin on flights between Germany and Canada next month.
The carrier, which released details of the new €2.5 billion long-haul upgrade last year, said that the first Airbus A350 fitted with Allegris cabins will fly from Munich to Vancouver from 1 May.
Lufthansa will then introduce aircraft fitted with Allegris cabins on routes to Toronto, Chicago and Montreal as more A350s are delivered in the coming months.
The airline is offering five seating options in business class, as well as improving its economy, premium economy and first class services as part of the Allegris project.
Lufthansa said that passengers booked on these flights would be notified of their upgrade to Allegris cabins, with customers able to see if their flight is fitted with the new seats three weeks before departure.
