Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) is launching seven routes for 2014, as it prepares for “another busy year”.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will launch their first destination between LBA and Copenhagen. Jet2 and Eastern Airways will both introduce new destinations to compliment their existing schedules.
Starting from next Monday, Eastern Airways will begin operating services between LBA and Southampton. These will be three times daily, Monday to Friday, as well as a Sunday afternoon service.
From March 31, SAS will operate a twice weekly service to Copenhagen, offering a direct link to Denmark’s capital and onward connectivity across Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
LBA’s largest based airline, Jet2, will introduce five new destinations this summer. From April 3, travellers can fly directly into Budapest with a twice-weekly service. As of April 4, Jet 2 passengers can fly to Fuerteventura, Canary Islands and Kos in Greece.
On May 14, the Yorkshire based airport will welcome a new destination, Verona in Italy, operated by Jet2.
LBA, aviation development and marketing director, Tony Hallwood, said: “We are particularly excited to offer more choice for our business and leisure passengers than ever before.
“We hope travellers will take advantage of this increased destination choice this summer by flying locally from LBA.”
